Reverse ETL
Reverse ETL is the practice of pushing data out of your warehouse back into the tools your team uses every day, your CRM, email platform, ads manager, or support desk. Normal ETL pulls data from those tools into the warehouse for analysis; reverse ETL sends the modelled result back the other way, so a 'lead score' or 'health score' you computed centrally actually lands where someone can act on it.
For a lean founder, this is how a warehouse stops being a reporting graveyard and starts driving operations. You define a metric once, in one trusted place, then sync it to sales, lifecycle email, and ad audiences instead of rebuilding the logic in each tool. That kills drift between systems and means your CRM and your dashboard finally agree. Tools like Hightouch and Census do this; the discipline is to model once, sync everywhere, and treat the warehouse as the single source of truth.
