Single customer view

A single customer view is one unified record per customer that stitches together everything you know about them, product usage, billing, support tickets, marketing touches, and CRM notes, from whatever tool each piece lives in. Instead of a fragmented picture spread across five systems, you get one profile that answers 'who is this person and what's their whole history with us?'

For a founder, this is what makes personalised, well-timed action possible without a big team. When usage, revenue, and support all sit in one view, you can spot an at-risk account, reward a power user, or tailor an onboarding nudge based on real behaviour. It usually comes from piping every source into a warehouse or customer data platform and resolving each person to one identity. The hard part is identity resolution, matching the same human across tools, so standardise on a key (usually email or a stable user ID) early.
