Give away your best material for free
Founders hoard their best ideas, terrified that giving the good stuff away will leave nothing to sell. It is the most common and most costly mistake in audience growth. Nobody trusts you with money until they have first trusted you with their attention, and they only give attention when the free material is good enough to act on.
The test is simple: would someone get a real result from your free content without ever paying you? If the answer is no, your content is a teaser, and audiences can smell a teaser. They feel the withhold. Give them the complete method, the actual checklist, the real numbers. The generosity is the marketing.
What you sell is not the missing tenth of the information. What you sell is implementation: doing it for them, doing it with them, the tools that make it faster, the accountability that makes it stick. The gap between knowing what to do and getting it done is enormous, and that gap is where your offer lives. You can teach the entire method in public and still have a thriving business selling the execution of it.
Giving away your best material also forces you to actually have a best material. It raises your own bar. When you know the work goes out in public under your name, you sharpen it, and that sharpening is what makes the audience grow. Hoarding makes your content worse and your reach smaller at the same time.
