Schema markup

Schema markup is structured code you add to your web pages that explicitly tells search engines what your content means, this is a product, this is its price, this is a review, this is an FAQ. It uses a shared vocabulary (schema.org) that Google, Bing, and increasingly AI engines understand, usually added as a small block of JSON-LD in the page's code.

For a founder, schema is how you turn a plain blue link into a richer, more clickable result, the star ratings, prices, FAQ dropdowns, and event details you see in search. Those rich results take up more space and earn more clicks. Just as importantly, schema makes your content machine-readable, which helps both classic search and the AI answer engines parse and quote you accurately. It's a low-effort, high-leverage technical win: most platforms support it through plugins or templates, and adding the right schema to product, article, FAQ, and review pages is one of the cleaner SEO improvements you can ship.
