Run it with agents: the lean operator's lead-gen machine

The constraint moved from headcount to selection

Everything in this playbook assumes one operator can run three channels at real depth, which used to be impossible. A three-channel stack run properly was a team's job, and a solo founder genuinely could not do it, so the honest advice a few years ago was to pick one channel and accept the ceiling. That advice is now out of date, because AI agents run the repetitive majority of every channel.

The adoption curve shows how fast this happened. AI use for lead scoring alone jumped to 61 percent of B2B teams, up from 23 percent in 2024, and conversational AI is the single fastest-growing segment, climbing to 32 percent. This is not a someday capability, it is already the norm. The leverage that lets one person run a multi-channel stack at depth is sitting in front of you, and the only question is whether you have organised your channels to use it.

What the agents actually run

Get concrete about the division of labour, because that is where the leverage lives. On the capture channel, agents draft and iterate the comparison and intent pages, monitor rankings, and surface which pages are striking distance of moving. On the preference channel, they draft the LinkedIn posts in your voice, schedule the cadence, and keep the consistency that human discipline always lets slip. On the owned asset, they draft the newsletter and segment the list.

And across all three, they score every inbound lead and route it, then deliver the five-minute follow-up that earns the 9x conversion lift no human team could sustain at 2am. The pattern is the same everywhere, the agent runs the repetitive 80 percent and you keep the 20 percent that needs your judgement, your taste, your point of view. The grind is automated. The thinking stays yours.

Wire it into one machine you measure honestly

The last step is to stop treating these as three separate efforts and wire them into a single funnel. Capture brings in the buyers who are ready, preference warms the ones who are not, the owned asset compounds everyone into an audience you reach for free, and the follow-up loop converts what arrives, all feeding one pipeline you watch as a whole.

Measure that pipeline with self-reported attribution, not last click, because the 95-percent-out-of-market reality and the 320-day journey mean your tracking will systematically miscredit the channels doing the real work. Ask your leads how they found you and believe them over your dashboard. That is the lean operator's lead-gen machine: three channels chosen for three jobs, run by agents, converted fast, and measured by the truth rather than the last click.
