Methodology
Source: the Solid Growth tool catalogue, a hand-maintained grid of growth and operations software with vendor list pricing captured from public pricing pages. Scope: 229 published tools, of which 201 carry a known monthly entry price (the lowest paid tier, billed monthly, converted to a common figure); the remaining 28 are quote-only or usage-metered and are excluded from price averages. Categories: 50. The free-tier flag is set where the vendor offers a perpetual free plan, not a time-limited trial. Figures are entry (cheapest paid) prices, so they describe the floor of adoption, not blended spend at scale. Prices are list, single-seat or smallest-plan, excluding annual discounts and add-ons. Captured June 2026. British pounds throughout; where vendors price in USD or EUR we use the catalogue's stored figure.
Loaded-salary figures use UK 2026/27 employer costs: 15% employer National Insurance on earnings above £5,000 plus minimum 3% auto-enrolment pension, applied to public UK salary benchmarks, with Western European mid-market overhead added for the five-person comparison. Free-to-paid conversion ranges (2–5% broad-market, 5–15% targeted) and the agency-cost-reduction and AI-adoption figures are drawn from published 2025–2026 SaaS and marketing-industry benchmarks, cited in prose rather than as a verdict on any single vendor. This is descriptive market data, not a recommendation of any individual tool.
